Williams-Keepers LLC acquires Mid-Missouri Accounting Services, adds strength to growing outsourced accounting service niche
Williams-Keepers LLC (WK), Central Missouri’s largest public accounting firm, has acquired Mid-Missouri Accounting Services (MMA), leaders with both companies announced today.
MMA will continue to operate at its current Mexico, Missouri location until approximately Friday, August 28, 2020. On Monday, Au gust 31, 2020, a transition that includes the relocation of MMA’s operations to WK’s Columbia office will be complete.

Established in 1989 by current co-owner Mark Thoenen, MMA specializes in accounting, tax, payroll and bookkeeping services for independent grocers throughout Missouri, as well as other small business and individual clients. Most members of MMA’s current six-person staff are expected to transition to WK in full-time roles, including co-owner Stephen Thoenen.

Controller services represents one of the fastest-growing service focuses for WK. With the addition of MMA, WK’s Controller Services Department will include eight dedicated professionals and several other full- and part-time associates who provide a full-suite of outsourced accounting services to clients in a variety of industries.
