WK celebrates new associates, new CPA
This summer, WK welcomed three new associates to the firm and celebrated the licensure of a new CPA.

Katie Barthel, CPA Kristen Brown, CPA Kristyn Caldwell, CPA Kyle Menges, CPA

“We are fortunate to work with these outstanding individuals,” says WK Chairman Jeff Echelmeier.

Katie Barthel, CPA, joined WK in July as a tax senior in the Columbia office. She has five years of professional experience in public and private accounting and provides tax services to business and individual clients. Katie earned a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Kansas and is a native of Kansas City.

Kristen Brown joined WK in July as an audit associate in the Columbia office. She earned a Master of Accountancy from the University of Missouri and is a native of Ashland. Kristen will provide audit services to clients in a variety of industries.

Kristyn Caldwell joined WK in May as a tax associate in the Columbia office. She is a native of Canton and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Columbia College. Kristyn also served as a tax intern at WK in Spring 2015. She provides tax and accounting services to business and individual clients.

Kyle Menges recently earned a license as a Certified Public Accountant. Licensure as a CPA demonstrates practical experience, technical proficiency, and commitment to the accounting profession. Kyle serves as an audit associate in the Jefferson City office. He provides audit services to clients in a variety of industries. Kyle earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Rockhurst University. He joined WK in 2014 and is a native of Jefferson City.

ACCOUNTING OLYMPICS RAISES FUNDS FOR UNITED WAY. “For a bunch of desk jockeys, we sure are competitive!” said Williams-Keepers LLC Chairman Jeff Echelmeier after watching the firm’s Jefferson City and Columbia offices battle each other during the fourth annual Accountant Olympics. The highly anticipated event, which is the signature fundraiser for WK’s United Way employee campaign, was held on June 19.
