Columbia associates earn 2017 promotions
WK chairman Jeff Echelmeier recently announced the following promotions among associates in the firm’s Columbia office, effective January 1, 2017. The promotions are the result of each associate’s development in technical proficiency, client service skills and firm leadership.
Rebecca Knipp, CPA, and Jennifer Stuart, CPA, were promoted to the manager level. Knipp joined the firm in 2008 and specializes in tax and accounting services for businesses and individuals. She also provides accounting system consulting, including accounting system design, implementation, review and revision. Stuart provides bankruptcy and litigation support services to individuals and business clients and joined the firm in 2005. She also specializes in work with not-for-profit clients and earned a Not-for-Profit Certificate from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
David Beach, CPA,and Contessa Ell, CPA, were promoted to the senior II level. Beach joined WK in 2012 and provides tax services to individual and business clients and specializes in outsourced CFO services and estate and trust planning. Ell joined WK in 2012 and provides audit services for financial institutions, higher education institutions and employee benefit plans.
Nicole Beck, CPA, Kristen Brown, Ashley Dodson, CPA, and Laura Hockett, CPA, were promoted to the senior I level. Beck joined the firm in 2016 and provides tax services for financial institutions, estates and trusts, and individual and business clients. Brown joined WK in 2015 and provides audit services for not-for-profit organizations, governments, and construction. Dodson joined WK in 2014 and provides audits for governments, higher education, non-profit organizations and employee benefit plans. Hockett also joined WK in 2014 and provides audits for financial institutions, insurance companies, employee benefit plans and agribusinesses.
Kristyn Caldwell was promoted to the staff II level. Caldwell provides tax and accounting services to business and individual clients. She joined WK as a full-time associate in 2015, having previously served as a tax intern.
Jordyn Christensen was promoted to a Client Service Representative. Christensen assists clients and provides administrative support to firm members and associates. She joined WK in 2015.

HELPING AROUND THE HOLIDAYS. WK understands that the holidays can be tough for some in our community, and our associates are always enthusiastic about helping out. In December, the firm collected and donated items to benefit clients of True North, the Voluntary Action Center, and Great Circle as part of our commitment to serving our communities.
